The Bobby Telfer Memorial Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3). Our major fundraiser is an annual golf scramble that originated in 1999 to commemorate the life of Bobby Telfer of Lansing, Michigan. In the past, all proceeds from this charitable event were used for scholarships, awarded to those student athletes graduating from Lansing Eastern High School.
With the success of donations and participants, the scholarship has expanded to other Lansing schools. It is open to student athletes from Lansing Eastern High School, Lansing Everett High School, Lansing Sexton High School and Lansing Catholic High School.
Over the last 24 years, $75,000 in scholarships has been awarded to Lansing School students to assist them and their families in addressing the ever-increasing cost of college. Scholarships will be awarded to student athletes that show a need for financial assistance.
